Check Point Software Technologies has appointed Krishnan V V as Managing Director and Country Head for India and South Asia, effective immediately. In the new role, he will oversee the company’s business strategy, profit and loss (P&L) performance, go-to-market execution and organisational development across the region. He will report to Ruma Balasubramanian, President, Asia Pacific and Japan.
Krishnan brings more than three decades of experience across cybersecurity, enterprise technology, business management and strategic customer engagement. Before joining Check Point, he served as Country Director – BFSI at Palo Alto Networks, where he worked with customers in India’s financial services sector.
His earlier leadership experience includes roles at Seclore, Symantec, Oracle, Sun Microsystems and Wipro. Across these organisations, he has worked on enterprise and government relationships, business development, sales and partner organisations across India, the Middle East and Southeast Asia.
At Check Point, Krishnan’s responsibilities will include strengthening strategic customer engagement, government relationships and the company’s partner ecosystem across India and South Asia. His mandate will also cover Check Point’s four strategic security areas: Hybrid Mesh Network Security, Workspace Security, Exposure Management and AI Security.
The appointment comes as organisations across the region continue to adopt cloud technologies, digital platforms and artificial intelligence. Check Point said its focus includes helping customers secure AI systems and applications while addressing security requirements across networks, cloud environments and workspaces.
India also has a significant role in Check Point’s technology operations. The company has its largest research and development centre outside Israel in India, contributing to areas including global product architecture, cyber defence innovation and AI-driven security capabilities.
Krishnan said the focus of his new role will be to work with customers, partners and teams to strengthen cyber resilience through Check Point’s unified, prevention-first security platform as organisations advance their digital and AI adoption.
With the appointment, Krishnan will lead Check Point’s regional business across India and South Asia, covering strategy, P&L, go-to-market execution, organisational development and customer and partner engagement.
