India — Radisys has elevated Daniel Raj to Director of Engineering, recognizing his contributions to cloud-native telecom platforms and next-generation network technologies as the company continues to expand its open telecom and AI-driven network solutions portfolio.
In his new role, Raj will lead engineering strategy, product development, and technology innovation across cloud-native platforms, distributed systems, and telecom software. His elevation reflects Radisys’ continued investment in strengthening engineering leadership to accelerate the development of scalable, software-defined, and AI-enabled telecommunications solutions for service providers worldwide.
Since joining Radisys, Raj has progressed through several leadership positions, including Senior Engineering Manager and Senior Architect. During his tenure, he has led the design and development of cloud-native, microservices-based platforms supporting highly available Kubernetes deployments, distributed storage, messaging systems, and disaster recovery capabilities. His work has also focused on advancing AI-powered infrastructure, cloud technologies, and large-scale distributed systems for telecom applications.
Prior to joining Radisys, Raj spent nearly a decade at Mobileum, where he advanced through leadership roles including Principal System Architect, Senior System Architect, System Architect, Principal Engineer, and Tech Lead. During this period, he led initiatives involving cloud-native transformation, Kubernetes, Network Functions Virtualization (NFV), 5G Core, and telecom infrastructure modernization, helping develop carrier-grade platforms for global telecommunications providers.
Earlier in his career, he served as Senior Software Engineer at Huawei and Software Engineer at Nokia, building extensive expertise in telecom software development, distributed systems, cloud-native architectures, network engineering, and carrier-grade software platforms.
The elevation comes as telecom technology companies continue to invest in cloud-native network architectures, Open RAN, AI-driven network automation, edge computing, and 5G technologies to help operators modernize infrastructure, improve network efficiency, and accelerate digital transformation.
Radisys is a global provider of open telecom solutions and services, delivering software, platforms, and integration services based on open standards and disaggregated architectures.
