Deloitte Appoints Karunesh B. as Associate Director to Lead Enterprise Transformation Initiatives

Deloitte has appointed Karunesh B. as Associate Director, strengthening the firm’s leadership in operational strategy, enterprise transformation, and industrial consulting services.

Based out of Deloitte’s Gurugram office in a hybrid role, Karunesh will oversee a broad portfolio focused on corporate restructuring, manufacturing transformation, and technology-driven operational strategy for regional as well as global clients. His mandate includes advising Fortune 500 companies on supply chain optimization, distribution efficiency, and complex enterprise performance enhancement programs.

Recognized for his deep expertise in management consulting and industrial operations, Karunesh brings more than a decade of experience spanning corporate advisory, supply chain ecosystems, heavy engineering operations, and value-chain diagnostics. His professional reputation has been built around delivering strategic interventions that improve operational efficiency and business scalability across large organizations.

Before joining Deloitte, Karunesh spent nearly seven years at EY, where he steadily progressed through multiple leadership roles within the Gurugram practice. Beginning as a Consultant and later advancing to Senior Consultant and Manager, he led several high-impact transformation engagements for major industrial and manufacturing clients.

During his tenure at EY, he played a key role in designing process optimization frameworks, performance improvement strategies, and operational transformation roadmaps aimed at enhancing productivity and organizational efficiency. His work focused heavily on industrial operations, strategic planning, and execution models tailored for large-scale enterprises.

Prior to entering Big Four consulting, Karunesh gained hands-on industrial experience at Maruti Suzuki India Limited, where he served as Deputy Manager. In this role, he managed supply chain and distribution operations for spare parts and accessories across South India, handling high-volume logistics and operational coordination within the automotive sector.

He started his professional career as a project intern at Jindal Steel Ltd, where he was introduced to industrial operations and manufacturing processes early in his career journey.

Within consulting and operational strategy circles, Karunesh is widely regarded for his expertise in Six Sigma methodologies, lean manufacturing systems, program management, and multi-stakeholder operational frameworks. His specialization in solving complex business and supply-chain challenges is expected to strengthen Deloitte’s enterprise advisory and transformation capabilities further.
