US-based local commerce platform DoorDash has opened a new talent hub in Hyderabad, marking the company’s first India office and expanding its operations in the country. The company has started the Hyderabad facility with 500 professionals and plans to increase its workforce there to more than 3,000 over the next two years.
Located in Hitec City, the Hyderabad hub will initially house DoorDash’s Customer Experience and Integrity (CXI) and General and Administrative (G&A) teams. The facility will support the company’s global operations and serve consumers, merchants and Dashers across the markets where DoorDash operates.
The facility was inaugurated by Telangana Industries and Commerce Minister D Sridhar Babu alongside DoorDash Chief Financial Officer Ravi Inukonda, Senior Director of Workforce Strategy and Talent Acquisition Operations Jenna Kohnke, and Telangana government IT Advisor Sai Krishna.
The Hyderabad operation will become DoorDash’s third internal Customer Experience and Integrity service centre globally. The company already operates CXI centres in Tempe, Arizona, and Mexico City. DoorDash said the Hyderabad team will function as an extension of its global CXI organisation, supporting consumers, merchants and Dashers across its markets.
The company also plans to expand the capabilities of the Hyderabad facility over time. These could include specialised functions such as integrity, fraud review and technical operations, in addition to the teams being established at the hub initially.
Jenna Kohnke said, “Establishing DoorDash’s first hub in India is an important milestone in expanding our global operations network. Hyderabad’s exceptional talent, thriving technology ecosystem, and commitment to building a world-class environment for global capability centers made it a natural choice for our long-term investment. We look forward to creating meaningful career opportunities and building alongside the incredible talent in the region.”
DoorDash said Hyderabad’s talent pool and technology ecosystem were important factors in its decision to expand operations in the city. The company already has an engineering presence in Pune, where it has software, data and analytics operations. The Hyderabad hub therefore adds customer experience, support and corporate functions to its existing India operations.
The company said its global platform ended 2025 with more than 56 million monthly active consumers. DoorDash operates across more than 40 countries and recorded more than $100 billion in Marketplace Gross Order Value (GOV) in 2025. Marketplace GOV represents the total value of orders completed through DoorDash’s marketplaces, including applicable taxes, tips and other consumer charges.
Telangana Industries and Commerce Minister D Sridhar Babu said, “DoorDash choosing Hyderabad to build capabilities to drive its rapid growth is a strong validation of how Hyderabad has evolved as a global talent hub.” He added that the planned expansion would bring capabilities across hyperlocal commerce, customer experience, technology and operations to Hyderabad.
With the new hub, DoorDash plans to expand its Hyderabad workforce from 500 professionals to more than 3,000 over the next two years, making the facility an import
