Former National Cyber Security Coordinator of PMO, Dr. Rajesh Pant joins TAC Security's Board

TAC Security has announced the addition of Lt General (Dr) Rajesh Pant, a distinguished cybersecurity expert and former National Cyber Security Coordinator at the Prime Minister’s Office, Government of India, to its Board of Directors. General Pant’s appointment comes at an opportune moment as TAC Security prepares for its forthcoming Initial Public Offering (IPO).

With an illustrious career that spans more than four decades, General Pant has showcased unmatched proficiency in the realm of cybersecurity. Serving as the National Cyber Security Coordinator, he played a crucial role in directing and harmonizing cybersecurity strategies across diverse sectors, propelling India from the 47th to a position within the top 10 in the UN Global Cybersecurity Index. Additionally, he played a key role in instituting the Trusted Products Directive for the telecom sector, thereby fortifying India’s cyber resilience even further.

Prior to his role as the National Cyber Security Coordinator, General Pant held the position of Director at the Army’s cyber training establishment. During this time, he led initiatives to develop extensive training programs, ensuring that the Indian Army remained at the forefront of cyber defense capabilities. His commitment and notable contributions to national security led to his recognition with three prestigious awards from the President of India.

We are honored to have General Pant join our board at this pivotal moment in our company’s history,” said Trishneet Arora, Founder & CEO of TAC Security. “His leadership and expertise in cybersecurity will be invaluable as we continue to innovate and expand our services worldwide. We look forward to leveraging his insights to further strengthen our commitment to safeguarding digital assets.

2023 has been a year of increasing geopolitical conflicts and tensions. This has had a direct bearing on cyberspace where we are witnessing an increasing involvement of private enterprises coming under cyber attacks from state and non state actors. There is therefore an imminent need for enterprises to protect and respond to cyber threats, a space where TAC Security has the requisite expertise. It shall be my privilege to guide this Company towards their desired goal,” said Lt. Gen Rajesh Pant.
