Guirec Servan has been named Chief Executive Officer of EDF Power Solutions India, a move that reflects EDF’s growing focus on India’s rapidly evolving energy sector. Based in New Delhi, Servan steps into this leadership role after a successful tenure as CEO & Country Representative of EDF Renewables India and as Country Head, India at EDF Renouvelables. During his earlier assignments, he steered renewable energy projects and drove strategic expansion in the country. His appointment signals EDF’s intent to deepen its presence and reinforce its leadership in India’s energy transition.
Servan brings to the role nearly two decades of rich international experience across power, utilities, and renewables. Before leading EDF’s operations in India, he spent around 15 years in France with EDF and its distribution subsidiary, Enedis. His responsibilities there included serving as Chief of Staff to the Chairman, heading regional operations, managing business units, and overseeing internal audit functions. This breadth of leadership has equipped him with a sharp understanding of both corporate strategy and on-ground execution.
He began his career at EY, where he developed a strong consulting foundation. This early exposure to business advisory and risk management provided him with a broad perspective that has since shaped his career across energy and utilities.
With his appointment at EDF Power Solutions India, Servan is expected to channel his expertise toward advancing the company’s growth strategy in one of the world’s most dynamic power markets. His focus will be on enabling EDF to play a central role in India’s clean energy journey, aligning with national goals of decarbonization and sustainability.
The company believes that under his leadership, EDF Power Solutions India will be well-positioned to address the challenges and opportunities of the Indian market, especially in areas where technology, innovation, and policy converge. His international background is likely to prove an asset as India integrates more renewable energy into its grid and strengthens its energy infrastructure.
This transition is seen as a critical step in EDF’s long-term plan for India, where the demand for sustainable and reliable power solutions continues to grow. Servan’s leadership marks a new chapter in EDF’s commitment to contributing to India’s energy future.
