Gurpiar Sibia has joined Bain & Company as Expert Partner and India Head – AI Practice. In this role, he will lead Bain’s AI initiatives in India, helping clients translate AI potential into measurable business outcomes and bridge the gap between innovation and real-world ROI.
He will work closely with enterprises to strategically design, build, and implement AI-driven solutions, enabling scalable growth, improved efficiency, and long-term value creation.
Gurpiar brings extensive experience across cloud, data, and artificial intelligence, having held senior leadership roles at Google Cloud. Most recently, he served as APAC Presales Practice Lead – Cloud, Data and AI, where he drove large-scale, strategic transformations across the region with a strong focus on AI-led growth.
Prior to this, he spent over a decade at Cisco, where he served as Head – System Engineering for Enterprise India & SAARC. In this role, he led technology sales for strategic enterprise accounts, managing a large customer base across industries including manufacturing, retail, financial services, e-commerce, and public sector. He also held a leadership role in cloud and big data presales consulting across India and Europe.
He also served at Aricent as a Pre-Sales Consultant in Big Data Services, building early expertise in data-driven enterprise solutions.
With a strong track record in driving AI and data-led transformation across global markets, Gurpiar’s appointment reflects Bain’s focus on strengthening its AI capabilities and supporting clients in navigating the shift toward AI-driven business models.
