Hilton Appoints Jeff Moore as Executive Vice President and Chief Technology Officer

Hilton has appointed Jeff Moore as Executive Vice President and Chief Technology Officer, strengthening its technology leadership as the global hospitality company advances its digital transformation and artificial intelligence initiatives. The company announced the appointment on October 6, 2026, stating that Moore will join on October 26.

Moore will lead Hilton’s global technology organisation and report to Chris Nassetta, President and Chief Executive Officer of Hilton. He will also become a member of the company’s Executive Committee.

Moore joins Hilton from Uber, where he served as Vice President of Software Engineering. In that role, he led a global organisation of 2,500 engineers supporting Uber Eats, Uber for Business, and the company’s growth and marketing technology. His responsibilities also covered engineering teams supporting Uber for Merchant, Uber Direct and Uber Courier, Uber Advertising, and Applied AI.

He brings more than 20 years of experience leading technology, engineering, product and operations organisations at a global scale. His career includes leadership positions at Amazon.com, where he was a founding leader within Fulfillment by Amazon.

At Amazon, Moore later led engineering and product organisations responsible for parts of the company’s device portfolio, including Kindle, Fire TV, Fire Tablet and Echo/Alexa products. Earlier in his career, he held software engineering and operations leadership positions at Anheuser-Busch. Moore also holds three issued US patents and serves on the board of Edmund Optics.

Commenting on the appointment, Nassetta said Moore’s technical expertise, operational experience and customer focus would help Hilton accelerate its technology initiatives and make greater use of artificial intelligence and next-generation technologies.

Hilton has been investing in technology to improve guest experiences and support hotel operations. Its initiatives include AI-powered trip planning designed to connect the guest journey from search to stay, as well as a modernised technology platform intended to help the company introduce guest-facing tools more quickly. These include personalised digital messaging.

The company aims to use technology to improve operational efficiency and profitability for hotel owners while delivering more personalised experiences to guests.

Moore said Hilton’s global brands and scale, along with its focus on technology, made the role an opportunity to contribute to the future of hospitality. He highlighted the company’s ambition to use AI and next-generation technology to improve guest experiences and support its team members.

Hilton operates a portfolio of 28 brands, with more than 9,400 properties and nearly 1.4 million rooms across 144 countries and territories, according to the company. Its technology initiatives include digital key sharing, automated complimentary room upgrades and the ability for guests to book confirmed connecting rooms.

Moore’s appointment places a technology executive with experience at Uber and Amazon in charge of Hilton’s global technology organisation as the company continues to develop digital services and apply AI across the hospitality experience.
