Gurugram, InterGlobe Aviation, the parent company of IndiGo, has elevated Kiran Thadimarri to the position of Chief Financial Officer, effective July 28, 2026. He succeeds Gaurav Negi, who has transitioned to the role of Advisor to the Managing Director.
The company’s Board of Directors approved the leadership changes on July 27. Negi’s transition became effective at the close of business on the same day, providing continuity in the airline’s financial leadership.
Thadimarri moves into the CFO position from his role as Deputy Chief Financial Officer at IndiGo. As CFO, he will oversee the airline’s financial strategy, planning and analysis, treasury, taxation, audit, controllership, investor relations and capital-management functions.
A Chartered Accountant with more than 24 years of experience, Thadimarri has worked across financial planning and analysis, business finance, treasury, capital raising, corporate audit and investor relations. His elevation comes as IndiGo continues to expand its domestic and international network while managing a large aircraft order book and significant capital requirements.
Before joining IndiGo, Thadimarri worked with InterGlobe Enterprises and held senior finance positions at business-to-business e-commerce company Udaan. As Group Finance Controller at Udaan, he also took responsibility for treasury operations, corporate finance and corporate audit and became a member of the company’s executive management team.
His professional experience also includes GenWorks Health and a 13-year tenure at General Electric. These assignments provided him with financial leadership experience across aviation, e-commerce, healthcare and diversified industrial businesses.
Thadimarri holds a Bachelor of Commerce degree from Bangalore University and is a qualified Chartered Accountant from the Institute of Chartered Accountants of India.
Gaurav Negi had served as IndiGo’s CFO since 2022. His move to an advisory position is expected to support the leadership transition and provide continued financial and strategic guidance to the airline’s Managing Director.
IndiGo is India’s largest passenger airline and is operated by InterGlobe Aviation Limited. Headquartered in Gurugram, the airline operates an extensive domestic and international network under its low-cost carrier model and continues to expand its fleet and long-haul operations.
