Infosys Names Ashiss Kumar Dash CEO-Designate to Succeed Salil Parekh

Infosys has appointed company veteran Ashiss Kumar Dash as Chief Executive Officer-Designate as part of a planned leadership transition. Dash assumes the CEO-designate position immediately and is expected to take over as Managing Director and Chief Executive Officer on April 1, 2027, after Salil Parekh completes his second term.

Infosys’ Board approved the appointment based on the recommendation of its Nomination and Remuneration Committee. Dash’s proposed tenure as Managing Director and CEO will run for five years, from April 1, 2027, to March 31, 2032, subject to shareholder and other statutory approvals. Parekh will continue leading Infosys until March 31, 2027, and will work closely with Dash during the transition.

Dash has spent more than three decades at Infosys, holding senior positions across customer-facing businesses, delivery, sales, account management and global operations. He currently serves as Executive Vice President and Global Head of a business portfolio spanning more than 12 industry verticals, including services, utilities, resources and energy. He also leads the company’s enterprise-sustainability business.

Throughout his career, Dash has worked with Fortune 500 and Global 2000 organisations on digital transformation, artificial intelligence, operational modernisation and emerging-technology adoption. His responsibilities have included setting strategic direction, driving revenue growth and financial performance, strengthening delivery capabilities and building global teams.

Infosys Chairman Nandan Nilekani said, “The Board was clear that our next CEO needed to combine the ability to drive bold transformation with the judgment to preserve the values and customer trust that have always distinguished Infosys.”

The company said Dash’s combination of strategic and commercial experience with technology-delivery expertise positions him to lead its next phase of AI-led transformation. An alumnus of IIT Kharagpur, Dash joined Infosys as an engineer and progressed through increasingly senior business and operational responsibilities.

The succession announcement was made alongside Infosys’ first-quarter results. Separately, the company narrowed its FY27 constant-currency revenue-growth guidance to 1.5%–3%, from its previous range of 1.5%–3.5%, reflecting continued caution in global technology spending.

Infosys is a Bengaluru-headquartered digital-services and consulting company serving clients in more than 50 countries. Its offerings span consulting, cloud, artificial intelligence, engineering, enterprise applications and business-process services. The company employs more than 300,000 people globally.
