Life Insurance Corporation of India (LIC), a prominent player in the insurance sector, has taken a significant step toward digital transformation by appointing Pradeep Pandey as its Chief Digital Officer (CDO). Pandey, a seasoned professional in the financial services industry, brings a wealth of experience from his previous role as Senior VP of Digital Banking at Axis Bank.
Pandey is credited for introducing concepts like ‘protection and digital insurance’ both in India and abroad. In his new capacity as LIC’s CDO, he is poised to lead the charge in reshaping LIC’s digital landscape, drawing from his extensive insights into both domestic and international markets.
During his tenure at Axis Bank, Pandey made substantial strides by leading digital banking’s liabilities vertical. He spearheaded critical projects such as ONDC, Bill Pay, and the successful e-commerce platform ‘Grab Deals’. Prior to this, Pandey held a senior VP role at Star Union Dai-ichi Life Insurance and played a pivotal role in driving digital operations at Tata AIA Life Insurance.
