NDTV Group has appointed Dinesh Singh as its Chief Technology and Information Officer (CTIO), marking a new chapter in his long association with the media organisation. Effective August 2026, the appointment follows more than 27 years at NDTV, where Singh has held leadership responsibilities across broadcast engineering, enterprise IT and digital technology operations.
Singh previously served as Chief Technology Officer, a position he held from May 2010. His responsibilities encompassed television network operations, corporate IT, broadcast technology, satellite communication systems and the digital OTT ecosystem. His work also covered the planning, development and management of television broadcast facilities and digital workflows, alongside technology budgeting, long-term planning and large-scale project execution.
The elevation builds on a career spanning more than three decades in broadcast technology and engineering. Singh joined NDTV in February 1999 as Head of Broadcast Operations and Engineering, serving in that capacity before moving into the CTO role. His progression within the organisation has spanned the evolution of television infrastructure and the increasing importance of digital platforms in media delivery.
A stated area of focus is the practical integration of artificial intelligence into everyday workflows. Industry reports citing his professional profile describe an approach centred on applying AI within operational processes, with an emphasis on useful implementation across the organisation’s technology environment.
Before joining NDTV, Singh worked as Manager–Projects at Cinecita Compotronics Pvt. Ltd., where his assignments included broadcast and studio infrastructure projects for Parliament, Ramoji Rao Film City and Bangladesh National Open University. Earlier, he served as a Senior Engineer in the Sony Broadcast and Professional Equipment Division at New Video Limited, working with professional broadcast equipment and systems.
NDTV’s corporate disclosures have previously documented his experience across corporate IT, OTT, digital and media asset management, broadcast operations and satellite communications. This background brings together the engineering and information technology disciplines that underpin content production, management and distribution.
His appointment places an experienced internal leader in the combined technology and information role as media organisations manage increasingly connected broadcast, digital and enterprise systems.
