Nissan Motor India names Saurabh Vatsa as Deputy Managing Director

Nissan Motor India announced the immediate appointment of Saurabh Vatsa as the Deputy Managing Director. In this role, he will directly report to Managing Director Rakesh Srivastava and contribute to the execution of the company’s ongoing transformation roadmap, as outlined in the automaker’s statement.

The appointment signifies the company’s commitment to its transformation plan, aimed at addressing the upcoming opportunities and challenges in the Indian automotive industry, it added.

Prior to joining Nissan, Vatsa served as a key member of the Stellantis leadership team, where he played a pivotal role in launching and leading the Citroen brand in India.

“His (Vatsa) appointment underpins our commitment to invest USD 600 m USD (Rs 5,300 crore) in India as part of the Alliance and introduce more products for the Indian consumer as part of the transformation plan,” Nissan India Operations President Frank Torres said.
