Genpact has appointed Priya Vijayarajendran as Chief Product and Platform Officer and a member of the Genpact Leadership Council, strengthening the company’s leadership as it accelerates its shift towards productized, IP-led agentic AI solutions.
In her new role, Vijayarajendran will lead Genpact’s product and platform strategy, including AI Maestro, the company’s enterprise platform designed to scale data, AI and agentic products and solutions across its business. She will also focus on expanding Genpact’s portfolio of productized agentic solutions and advancing innovation through strategic partnerships.
The appointment forms part of Genpact’s broader move from a traditional services-led model towards developing and owning scalable products and proprietary technology. The company said Vijayarajendran’s mandate will include expanding its proprietary technology while scaling data, AI and agentic operations across client engagements.
Vijayarajendran joins Genpact from ASAPP, an enterprise AI company, where she served as Chief Executive Officer and Board Member. At ASAPP, she worked on consolidating point solutions into a unified agentic AI platform for enterprise customer service. She previously served as President of Technology and Chief Technology Officer, where she led technology development and built generative AI platforms. According to Genpact, her research and development work at ASAPP resulted in more than 70 AI patents.
Before ASAPP, Vijayarajendran held senior leadership positions at Microsoft, where she led the global Azure Data and AI business. She also served as Chief Technology Officer for Cognitive, IoT and Watson Health at IBM. Earlier in her career, she spent around two decades at SAP, working across product development, innovation and enterprise architecture leadership roles in Silicon Valley and Europe.
Her extensive experience across AI, data, enterprise technology, product development and innovation gives her a broad technology leadership background as she takes on the new mandate at Genpact.
Vijayarajendran will be responsible for bringing together Genpact’s operational expertise, process intelligence, data, AI and product engineering capabilities to develop more autonomous and outcome-driven enterprise operations. The company’s leadership has positioned owned intellectual property and process intelligence as important components of its strategy in the emerging agentic AI market.
The appointment also reinforces Genpact’s focus on agentic operations, with the company looking to scale AI-powered platforms and solutions beyond individual use cases. Through AI Maestro and its growing portfolio of proprietary solutions, Genpact aims to provide enterprises with standardized platforms and productized AI capabilities.
With Vijayarajendran joining the Genpact Leadership Council, the company is adding an executive with experience spanning enterprise AI, cloud data platforms, cognitive technologies, product engineering and large-scale technology leadership.
Her appointment marks a significant addition to Genpact’s senior leadership team as the company continues to build its product and platform strategy and expand its focus on IP-led, scalable agentic AI solutions.
