Ramesh Poolakkil has joined ITC Infotech as Vice President and Head of ERP – Americas, taking on a leadership role for the company’s ERP practice in the Americas.
Poolakkil brings more than 25 years of experience across SAP, enterprise technology, business transformation, consulting and practice leadership. His career has included leadership roles spanning North America, India and other international markets, with experience in SAP transformation, enterprise applications, business development and delivery.
Before joining ITC Infotech, Poolakkil spent six years at Cognizant, where he held senior leadership responsibilities in its SAP business. His career at Cognizant also included an earlier stint, making his latest move his third period with the company. His professional experience also includes leadership positions at Fujitsu Consulting and entrepreneurial experience with Arrowhead Consulting.
At Arrowhead Consulting, Poolakkil served as Executive Director and Founder. The company was subsequently sold to a Middle East conglomerate. His earlier career also included SAP roles at Cognizant and ITC Limited.
In his new role at ITC Infotech, Poolakkil will lead the ERP practice across the Americas. His background covers SAP practice and service-line leadership, S/4HANA transformation, enterprise AI, cloud transformation, automation and large-scale technology programmes. His professional profile also reflects experience managing enterprise portfolios and working with large organisations across North America.
ITC Infotech has an established ERP practice covering SAP, Oracle and Microsoft Dynamics. The company says its ERP business has more than 2,300 specialists and has delivered more than 50 digital transformation projects worldwide. Its services include ERP advisory, implementation and rollouts, application management, cloud migration, integration, testing and intelligent automation.
The company also has a significant focus on SAP and Oracle-based enterprise transformation, including SAP S/4HANA, cloud migration and ERP modernisation. ITC Infotech says it has delivered more than 100 ERP engagements for global customers and has experience across manufacturing and consumer packaged goods, among other sectors.
Poolakkil’s appointment brings his experience in SAP and enterprise transformation into ITC Infotech’s Americas business as the company continues to expand its ERP and technology services across global markets.
