RBL Bank has appointed Buvanesh Tharashankar as the Head of Finance. The bank mentioned that Tharashankar shall be considered for the position of Chief Financial Officer (CFO) and key managerial personnel of the bank.
Tharashankar, a Chartered Accountant possesses over 28 years of experience in Banking, of which more than 20 years have been in various leadership positions.
Previously, he was the CFO for Jana Small Finance Bank (Jana) and was responsible for the Finance function including Investor Relations.
Prior to Jana, he was with Citi for over 26 years, in various leadership and senior positions. His last assignment with Citi was Cluster Controller for South Asia, covering India, Bangladesh & Sri Lanka, driving statutory audits and regulatory inspections, local regulatory reporting, legal entity management, annual ICAAP exercise and balance sheet controls.
