
India — Schneider Electric has elevated Roshan Varadarajan to Vice President – Industrial Automation, recognizing his leadership in advancing digital transformation, industrial automation, and software-defined automation initiatives within the organization.
In his new role, Varadarajan will lead Schneider Electric’s Industrial Automation business across India, focusing on accelerating growth through software-defined automation, customer-centric innovation, ecosystem partnerships, digital transformation, and operational excellence. He will also drive strategies aimed at helping industries improve productivity, sustainability, efficiency, and operational resilience through intelligent automation technologies and connected industrial ecosystems.
The elevation reflects Schneider Electric’s continued focus on strengthening leadership in industrial automation and next-generation digital manufacturing technologies as industries increasingly adopt AI-driven automation, smart factory systems, industrial IoT, and intelligent operational platforms.
Varadarajan has been associated with Schneider Electric for more than nine years, during which he progressed through multiple leadership positions across strategy, automation, software, and business transformation functions. Over the course of his tenure, he served in roles including Manager, Deputy General Manager, General Manager, Chief of Staff to the Zone President, and Director – EcoStruxure & Software Strategy before being elevated to Vice President.
During his career at Schneider Electric, he has contributed to initiatives spanning industrial automation, digital ecosystems, software strategy, enterprise transformation, and intelligent operational technologies aimed at supporting connected and sustainable industrial environments.
Prior to joining Schneider Electric, Varadarajan worked with Larsen & Toubro and ABB, where he held engineering and product management roles. His experience across these organizations helped build deep expertise in industrial automation technologies, digital engineering, product strategy, industrial software systems, and enterprise transformation.
