Sachin Agarwal Joins Gold Plus Glass Industry as Group Chief Information Officer

Gold Plus Glass Industry Ltd. has appointed Sachin Agarwal as Group Chief Information Officer (CIO), bringing a new technology leadership focus to the company as it continues to expand its manufacturing and business operations. Agarwal announced his appointment on LinkedIn, stating that he has joined the group in the Group CIO role and will focus on driving digital transformation, technology innovation, and business growth across the organisation.

In his new role, Agarwal will be responsible for providing technology leadership across the Gold Plus Group and aligning its information-technology capabilities with broader business priorities. His mandate is expected to encompass digital transformation, technology modernisation, enterprise systems, innovation, and the use of technology to improve operational efficiency and support scalable business growth.

Agarwal brings experience in areas including SAP-led initiatives, IT growth strategy, enterprise technology transformation, IT modernisation, digital innovation, and strategic technology planning. His background combines technology execution with a focus on aligning IT capabilities with changing business requirements, positioning him to contribute to Gold Plus Glass’s technology-led transformation agenda.

The appointment comes as Gold Plus Glass continues to operate across a broad manufacturing and product ecosystem. Established in 1985, the company describes itself as a fully Indian glass manufacturing company and operates production facilities at Roorkee in Uttarakhand and Belagavi in Karnataka. Its product portfolio includes clear float glass, tinted and reflective glass, mirrors, frosted glass, architectural glass, automotive glass, and industrial glass.

Technology has an increasingly important role in large-scale manufacturing, where digital systems can support production planning, supply-chain management, procurement, finance, sales, customer management, data visibility, and operational decision-making. For a manufacturing group with multiple facilities and business functions, integrating these systems and building scalable technology infrastructure can be an important part of improving efficiency and supporting future expansion.

Agarwal’s appointment as Group CIO therefore places technology leadership at the centre of Gold Plus Glass’s wider business agenda. His responsibilities will extend beyond conventional IT operations, with the stated focus on digital transformation, technology innovation, and business growth across the Group.

Gold Plus Glass has also been strengthening its broader leadership structure. The company has senior leadership positions across finance, procurement, manufacturing, sales and marketing, human resources, and information technology, reflecting the scale of its operations.

Commenting on his move, Agarwal described the appointment as the beginning of a new journey and said he is looking forward to driving digital transformation, technology innovation, and business growth across Gold Plus Glass. His transition into the Group CIO role marks another step in the company’s efforts to leverage technology as an enabler of operational performance and long-term growth.
