Satish Kumar Kalra joins North East Small Finance Bank as MD & CEO

Satish Kumar Kalra, former Executive Director of Andhra Bank, has joined Northeast Small Finance Bank as its new MD and CEO.

The Reserve Bank of India (RBI) has granted approval for this appointment, and Kalra has officially taken charge.

North East Small Finance Bank is currently in the process of merging with the Bengaluru-based fintech unicorn Slice. His appointment comes after retirement of the former Chief, Rupali Kalita. The merged entity is anticipated to adopt the name NE Small Finance Bank.

Kalra is anticipated to lead the banking aspirations of the fintech in the future, working towards revitalizing the struggling financial institution.
