Croma, the Tata Group’s Infiniti Retail brand, has appointed Shibashish Roy as its new Chief Executive Officer in a strategic leadership transition. This move aligns with the succession plan for Avijit Mitra, the current Managing Director and CEO, who is set to retire in early 2025. Mitra, recognized for his pivotal role in Croma’s growth across India, will continue to serve on the Board to ensure a seamless handover.
Roy, formerly the Deputy CEO, has been integral to Croma’s operations, leading divisions including store operations, eCommerce, marketing, buying, merchandising, and technology. His promotion reflects Croma’s vision of enhancing omnichannel capabilities and building a customer-centric brand that resonates in India’s competitive consumer electronics market.
