Simranjeet Kaur Appointed Director, Business Development & Licensing at Sandoz

Global pharmaceutical company Sandoz AG has appointed Simranjeet Kaur as Director, Business Development & Licensing (BD&L), reinforcing its focus on strategic growth, portfolio expansion and global partnerships.

In her new role, Simranjeet Kaur will lead business development and licensing initiatives aimed at accelerating growth across international markets and strengthening Sandoz’s global portfolio.

Kaur brings extensive experience in business development, licensing, portfolio strategy, mergers and acquisitions, and strategic partnerships within the pharmaceutical industry. Her appointment comes at a time when pharmaceutical companies are increasingly relying on collaborations, licensing agreements and portfolio optimization to drive growth in highly competitive global markets.

Before joining Sandoz, Kaur served as Head of Business Development & Licensing at Lupin Limited, where she played a key role in expanding the company’s international presence across the Asia-Pacific region, Europe and Latin America. During her tenure, she successfully led licensing transactions, supported strategic acquisitions and developed partnerships that contributed to the company’s global business objectives.

She was also responsible for regional profit-and-loss management and contributed significantly to portfolio expansion initiatives, helping strengthen Lupin’s position in multiple international markets.

Prior to her leadership role at Lupin, Kaur held portfolio strategy and product management positions at Mankind Pharma and Lupin, where she gained expertise in market assessment, portfolio planning, commercial strategy and licensing negotiations. Her experience across diverse therapeutic and business segments has equipped her with a comprehensive understanding of the pharmaceutical value chain.

The appointment reflects Sandoz’s continued emphasis on strengthening its business development capabilities as the company seeks new opportunities in global healthcare markets. Strategic licensing and partnership activities have become increasingly important for pharmaceutical companies looking to expand product portfolios, enter new geographies and enhance innovation.
