Dehradun-based medtech startup Sunfox Technologies has raised $7 million (approximately ₹67 crore) in a Series A funding round led by investor Ashish Kacholia, Lashit Sanghvi, Alchemy Capital and 3one4 Capital. The funding was announced on October 7, 2026.
The latest round is the largest funding round raised by Sunfox Technologies so far. The company plans to use the fresh capital to expand its operations across India, build global go-to-market capabilities and increase investment in research and development.
Sunfox will also use the funds to scale its India-built cardiac diagnostics platform while developing regulatory, distribution and commercial capabilities in international markets, including the United States, Europe and Africa. The company is currently pursuing regulatory clearances in the US and European Union.
Founded in 2016, Sunfox Technologies was started by Rajat Jain, Arpit Jain, Sabit Rawat, Nitin Chandola and Saurabh Badola. The founders began working on the company after the loss of a friend during their college years and explored ways technology could help improve timely cardiac assessment and reduce the time required for care following a heart attack.
Sunfox has developed the Spandan range of portable ECG solutions for personal, clinical and institutional use. The platform is designed to enable frontline healthcare workers to capture ECGs using the Spandan device and share the results with doctors remotely for interpretation.
The system can be used across homes, clinics, hospitals, public-health programmes and remote-care networks. In public-health settings, Spandan can operate through a hub-and-spoke model, where a nurse or healthcare worker records an ECG at a primary or community health centre and shares it with doctors or cardiologists at a district-level hub for review.
The platform is designed to help identify critical cardiac patterns and facilitate further treatment by enabling remote medical review. Sunfox said around 60,000 Spandan devices have been deployed across India, reaching more than 20,000 villages across states and union territories. Its Spandan One platform is used to screen approximately 5 million patients annually.
Sunfox currently has regulatory approvals in India, Ghana, Kenya, Tanzania and South Africa. It is pursuing additional clearances in the United States and European Union as it works towards expanding into international markets.
Commenting on the funding, Rajat Jain, Founder and CEO of Sunfox Technologies, said the round would provide the company with resources to take its work from Dehradun to a larger market. He added that Sunfox plans to invest in research and development while expanding across India and building the capabilities needed to take Sunfox and Spandan to global markets.
The latest investment gives Sunfox additional capital to expand its cardiac diagnostics platform, strengthen its research and development efforts and build the regulatory and commercial capabilities required for international expansion.
