Swiggy, the prominent Indian online platform for food ordering and delivery, has appointed Suparna Mitra as an independent director to its board.
Sriharsha Majety, the group CEO of Swiggy, expressed enthusiasm about Suparna’s appointment, stating that her extensive background in lifestyle and retail industries, coupled with her leadership insights, will undoubtedly enrich the board with valuable perspectives as Swiggy embarks on its next phase of growth.

Suparna Mitra joins a distinguished group of independent directors at Swiggy, including Anand Kripalu, the MD and Global CEO at EPL who chairs the Swiggy board, Shailesh Haribhakti, the chairman of Shailesh Haribhakti & Associates, and Sahil Barua, the MD and CEO at Delhivery.
With a degree in electrical engineering from Jadavpur University and an MBA from IIM Calcutta, Suparna has held significant positions such as the global marketing head at Titan. She also serves on the board of governors at IIM Kozhikode.
