India — Live entertainment discovery and ticketing startup thumpN has raised more than USD 3.75 million (approximately ₹35.7 crore) in a pre-seed funding round to expand its AI-powered platform and strengthen its presence in India’s growing live entertainment ecosystem.
The round saw participation from VSS Investco, the family office of Paytm founder Vijay Shekhar Sharma, along with Paytm CFO Madhur Deora, Hyperlink Brand Solutions founder VG Jairam, and Capitalmind co-founder Shray Chandra. Music artists Arijit Singh, Sunidhi Chauhan, and Badshah also participated in the funding round.
The company said it will use the fresh capital to enhance its artificial intelligence-driven discovery platform, expand product development, and grow its presence across concerts, comedy shows, festivals, sports events, nightlife experiences, and other live entertainment categories.
At the core of the platform is ‘Shadow’, an AI-powered assistant that recommends live events based on users’ preferences, interests, and past behaviour, enabling personalized event discovery across multiple entertainment formats.
Beyond consumer discovery, thumpN is also developing software solutions for event organizers, providing insights into audience preferences, event demand, genre trends, and consumer behaviour. The platform aims to help organizers make data-driven decisions around event planning, audience engagement, and marketing.
The funding comes as India’s live entertainment industry continues to witness rapid growth, driven by increasing demand for concerts, sports events, experiential entertainment, and digital ticketing platforms. Startups are increasingly leveraging artificial intelligence to deliver personalized recommendations, improve audience engagement, and provide analytics that support event planning and monetization.
Founded as an AI-native live entertainment platform, thumpN combines event discovery, ticketing, and data intelligence to connect consumers with live experiences while helping organizers better understand audience behaviour and optimize event performance.
