United Breweries Limited (UBL), a subsidiary of the Heineken Company, has announced the appointment of Vivek Gupta as the Managing Director and Chief Executive Officer, effective September 25th, as per the company’s official statement.
Vivek Gupta brings with him over two decades of valuable experience in leadership and commercial roles, garnered during his tenure at Procter & Gamble (P&G). During his time at P&G, he worked across diverse product categories, spanning everyday consumables to premium offerings. In his most recent role, Gupta held the position of Managing Director for Australia and New Zealand at P&G. Subsequently, he joined Udaan.com, where he served as the Chief Business Officer.
In his new role at UBL, Vivek Gupta will collaborate closely with the UBL leadership team, collectively taking on the responsibility of driving sustainable growth for the company. He will lead efforts to elevate UBL’s portfolio through premiumization initiatives, with a particular focus on enhancing the iconic stature of Kingfisher, a key brand under UBL’s umbrella.
