NetApp India has appointed Vasanthi Ramesh as its new Managing Director. In this expanded role, Ramesh will spearhead NetApp’s strategic initiatives across India, while continuing her responsibilities as Vice President of Engineering for the Unified Manageability Framework. Her leadership will be central to driving growth and operational excellence for NetApp’s programs, including the NetApp Excellerator, aimed at supporting startups, and Academia Connect, which fosters collaboration with educational institutions.
With nearly 30 years in enterprise software and consumer technology, Ramesh brings an extensive background in manageability and data protection, significantly shaping NetApp’s offerings in both traditional data centers and public cloud spaces. Her technical prowess and experience are well-aligned with NetApp’s goals of accelerating innovation and enhancing its presence within India’s rapidly evolving technology sector. As part of her mandate, Ramesh will also focus on strengthening NetApp’s collaboration with Global Capability Centers (GCCs) and key industry bodies like nasscom, enhancing the company’s impact and reputation within the region.
Ramesh’s expertise is complemented by her academic credentials in statistics and computer science, obtained from premier institutions in India and the United States, which underscore her strategic focus on digital transformation. Under her leadership, NetApp India aims to advance its offerings in cloud, hybrid infrastructure, artificial intelligence, and cybersecurity, meeting the evolving needs of the market.
