IT major Wipro Limited has filed mandatory stock exchange disclosures confirming a second timeline extension for its $70.8 million asset acquisition agreement with US-based IT consulting firm Alpha Net.
The agreement was initially signed in April 2026 and involves the transfer of high-value healthcare and technology client contracts to Wipro’s North American operating division.
Under the revised timeline, the target closing date for the transaction has been extended to December 31, 2026. The extension is intended to provide additional time for the completion of the transition process, including client transition, contract assignment and talent integration.
The transaction involves the transfer of selected healthcare and technology client contracts directly into Wipro’s North American operations. The arrangement is structured to support continuity for existing enterprise service agreements while the assets and associated responsibilities move to Wipro.
The second extension gives the companies additional time to complete the required processes associated with the transaction. These include ensuring a seamless transition of clients, assigning contracts to Wipro and integrating the relevant talent without disrupting ongoing services.
Wipro’s North American operating division will take over the high-value healthcare and technology client contracts as part of the $70.8 million asset acquisition agreement.
The revised closing timeline of December 31, 2026, reflects the additional time required to complete the transaction and its associated integration activities. The process will focus on maintaining continuity across existing enterprise service agreements while completing the transfer of contracts and talent.
The extension comes as Wipro continues to expand its operations and client capabilities in the North American market. The Alpha Net transaction is focused specifically on healthcare and technology client contracts and their integration into Wipro’s North American operating division.
