DAZN, the world’s leading sports streaming platform, has inaugurated its first Sports Technology Global Capability Centre (GCC) in Hyderabad on July 18, 2025, marking a significant expansion of its global footprint. Envisioned as the company’s largest tech hub worldwide, the centre is set to generate 3,000 jobs by the end of 2026 and anchor an investment of ₹500 crore over the next three years.
The Hyderabad GCC will focus on building advanced sports technology solutions powered by AI, real-time analytics, and product innovation. The facility will also forge partnerships with local academic institutions for training, upskilling, and collaborative research, further boosting Telangana’s status as a growing hub for high-end tech capabilities.
Speaking at the launch, Telangana IT and Industries Minister Sridhar Babu Duddilla highlighted the state’s fast-growing GCC ecosystem, stating, “Nearly one new GCC is being added every week in the city.” He called DAZN’s investment a strong endorsement of Telangana’s talent pool and infrastructure.
DAZN’s India journey began in 2023, and the company has already ramped up its local workforce to 1,500 professionals, including engineers, developers, and data scientists. Praising the city’s dynamic ecosystem, DAZN CTO Sandeep Tiku said, “Hyderabad has been a perfect destination for DAZN to grow its technology and product operations.”
As Telangana pursues over $15 billion in futuristic initiatives such as the upcoming AI City and EV mobility corridors, DAZN’s expansion strengthens Hyderabad’s position as a global innovation hub, particularly in the intersection of technology and sports.
