Infosys has officially unveiled its Center for Advanced AI, Cybersecurity, and Space Technology at its Hubballi Development Center in Karnataka, marking a major step forward in its global Living Labs network. This cutting-edge facility is designed to serve clients across key sectors including manufacturing, retail, finance, and healthcare, while positioning Hubballi as a strategic digital innovation hub.
The launch event was attended by key dignitaries from the Government of Karnataka. Shri M B Patil, Hon’ble Minister for Large & Medium Industries and Infrastructure Development, and Shri Priyank Kharge, Hon’ble Minister for Electronics, IT & BT, and Rural Development & Panchayat Raj, praised the initiative for its regional and economic significance.
“This milestone not only creates vital employment opportunities but also strengthens industry-academia collaboration,” said Shri M B Patil, acknowledging Infosys for surpassing 1,000 employees in Hubballi.
“The inauguration of this new Living Labs is a testament to North Karnataka’s emergence as a regional innovation hub,” added Shri Priyank M Kharge, highlighting the region’s growing prominence in India’s digital economy.
The new center is aimed at accelerating innovation through an AI-first approach and fostering next-gen solutions in cybersecurity and space technology. As part of Infosys’ global innovation strategy, the Hubballi facility will also focus on co-creation with clients, supporting rapid prototyping and deployment of digital solutions at scale.
Sunil Kumar Dhareshwar, Executive Vice President at Infosys, emphasized the strategic intent behind the center’s launch:

The move reinforces Infosys’ long-term commitment to decentralizing innovation, creating high-value jobs in Tier-2 cities, and fostering a deeper collaboration between industry and academia.
