Edgehax (formerly Bharat Pi), an emerging Edge AI hardware startup, has secured ₹1.39 crore in seed funding in a round led by Inflection Point Ventures (IPV). The funds will be used to accelerate product development, scale manufacturing capabilities, and drive international expansion across Singapore, the US, and Europe.
Founded in 2025 by Prabhu Stavarmath and Savitri Patil, Edgehax focuses on building modular Edge hardware solutions that integrate compute, network, and storage into a single board. This approach reduces dependency on overseas supply chains and enables enterprises and innovators to develop high-performance applications rapidly. Edgehax’s platforms are already deployed across a variety of use cases, including industrial IoT gateways, humanoid robots, autonomous vehicles, drones, NavIC-based defence tracking systems, and 4G/5G connectivity solutions.
Shri Arvind Kumar, Director General of STPI, emphasized the broader impact of Edgehax’s journey, stating, “Edgehax’s success reinforces the mission of NGIS to empower startups with resources to scale globally while strengthening India’s ‘Make in India’ journey.” Edgehax is a beneficiary of the Next Generation Incubation Scheme (NGIS), which supports startups from Tier 2 and Tier 3 cities with mentorship, funding, and access to markets—helping them compete on a global stage.
Commenting on the company’s long-term vision, co-founder Prabhu Stavarmath said, “Our goal is to become a global pioneer in Edge AI Gateways and Single Board Computers, enabling rapid product development for startups and enterprises worldwide.” He further shared that by 2029, Edgehax aims to support 100 million developers worldwide, positioning India as a leader in the global Edge AI hardware ecosystem.
The fresh capital and strategic backing from IPV will allow Edgehax to strengthen its product roadmap, enhance manufacturing efficiency, and expand into key international markets. This milestone not only marks a major step forward for the startup but also reflects the growing importance of domestic innovation in next-generation AI hardware solutions that are built in India for the world.
