TechD Cybersecurity Wins Two-Year Australian Security Mandate

TechD Cybersecurity has secured a two-year managed-security-services mandate valued at $380,000, approximately ₹3.61 crore, from a Sydney-based software-as-a-service company. The export order is scheduled to begin by 15 November and carries annual revenue of $190,000.

The mandate covers continuous security-operations-centre monitoring, administration of security tools, an incident-response retainer, and vulnerability assessment and penetration testing. These services extend across prevention, monitoring and post-incident response rather than representing a single product licence or one-time assessment.

The proposed commercial structure includes an upfront component followed by monthly payments in advance, with a 15-day payment period. The master services agreement and purchase order remained pending at the time of disclosure, making their execution an important remaining contractual step.

For TechD, the contract adds an overseas managed-services customer to a recent set of domestic cybersecurity orders. In October, the company disclosed four orders, including work involving HDFC Securities, worth an aggregate ₹1.76 crore. It had also announced a ₹11.09 crore BFSI platform-licence order through a system integrator, along with additional domestic and global mandates disclosed in September.

Managed security differs operationally from project work because it requires round-the-clock staffing, repeatable monitoring processes, escalation procedures and service-level compliance over the contract term. Revenue is distributed across the two-year period, while the provider must maintain personnel and tool capacity throughout the engagement.

The Australian mandate also exposes the company to another regulatory and customer-security environment. Incident handling, data access and service administration will need to follow the customer’s contractual requirements and applicable Australian privacy and cybersecurity obligations. The disclosure does not identify the client or provide detailed margin expectations.

The contract illustrates the continuing export opportunity for Indian cybersecurity providers as organisations seek external support for security operations, incident response and vulnerability testing. It also places execution obligations on TechD, particularly around commencement timing, staffing and completion of the formal agreement.

The order was disclosed on 6 November. Until the master services agreement and purchase order are completed, the company’s statement should be read as a mandate won with documentation still being finalised.
