
Madhurita Sengupta has been appointed Chief Marketing Officer at JioBlackRock Investment Advisers Private Limited, the 50:50 joint venture between Jio Financial Services and BlackRock. The appointment strengthens the leadership team as JioBlackRock scales its investor-focused wealth and advisory business in India, with a strong focus on brand building, customer engagement, and digital-first growth.
In her new role, Sengupta will lead brand strategy, customer engagement, and digital marketing initiatives, supporting the company’s vision of creating a transparent, accessible, and digitally empowered investment advisory platform. Her mandate includes building a purpose-led brand that simplifies access to investment advice while reinforcing trust and transparency.
With nearly two decades of experience across financial services and technology, Sengupta brings deep expertise in marketing, digital sales, and customer experience. She has previously held senior leadership roles at Amazon Web Services as Head – Digital Sales for India and SAARC, DBS Bank, Vodafone India as Head – Digital Sales, and HSBC, where she served as General Manager Marketing and Vice President, SME Marketing. Across these organisations, she led high-impact initiatives spanning brand strategy, digital transformation, data-led marketing, and personalised customer engagement.
Her appointment reflects the growing importance of brand leadership in financial services, where differentiation is increasingly driven by customer experience rather than product alone, as JioBlackRock builds its presence in India’s evolving investment advisory landscape.
