Harikrishnan Raguraman has taken on the role of Chief Technology Officer at GXS Bank in Singapore. He moved into the position in November 2026, after 4 years and 5 months with the bank.
Raguraman joined GXS Bank in July 2022 as Group Head of Engineering, Data, AI, Enterprise and Security. In that role, which he held until November 2026, he led the bank’s work across engineering, data, AI, enterprise technology and security. His profile lists LangChain and cloud security among his skills at the bank.
Before GXS Bank, he spent 7 years and 2 months at Standard Chartered Bank in a series of technology leadership roles in Singapore and Kuala Lumpur. His last role there was Distinguished Engineer, from October 2021 to July 2022. Before that he was Vice President, Platform Engineering, from September 2019 to October 2021.
At Standard Chartered he also worked on large data programmes. As Technology Delivery Manager, he worked on the Retail Analytics (Big Data) programme, a platform meant to support the bank’s digital banking strategy. It handled both batch and real-time sourcing into a big data platform, with the aim of automated modelling and targeted campaigns. He served as Big Data Architect from September 2017 to September 2019 and as Delivery Manager for the Retail Analytics programme from January 2017 to September 2017. He also headed the development team for Enterprise Data Management, and worked on a project delivering geo-location based real-time offers to credit card customers.
Earlier in his career, Raguraman was Assistant Vice President at Maybank from February 2014 to June 2015, setting up risk architecture to achieve compliance with BCBS 239. From February 2011 to January 2014 he was Senior Datawarehouse Consultant at AmBank Group, working in the Asset Liability Management development team on ETL and scheduling. Before that, he spent 1 year and 7 months at Wipro Technologies as a Project Engineer, working on data warehouse projects for Lloyds Banking Group in the UK using Datastage and Teradata. He began his career as a Service Executive at Sutherland Global Service in May 2008.
As CTO of GXS Bank, Raguraman now leads the bank’s technology function.
