Omnkar Nikam has been appointed as Head – IT and Digital at Bajaj Indef, reinforcing the company’s leadership bench as it advances its IT modernisation and digital transformation priorities. Based in Navi Mumbai, Omnkar will be responsible for shaping enterprise-wide IT strategy, leading digital initiatives, and driving technology-led innovation to support business growth, operational efficiency, and governance objectives across the organisation.
With over 18 years of experience spanning IT infrastructure, enterprise architecture, cloud platforms, and large-scale transformation programs, Omnkar brings a strong track record of aligning technology initiatives with business outcomes. His role at Bajaj Indef places him at the centre of the company’s efforts to build secure, resilient, and future-ready digital platforms.
Prior to joining Bajaj Indef, Omnkar served as Head – Information Technology Infrastructure at Jaquar & Company Private Limited. In this role, he led the design, deployment, and governance of multi-cloud environments, driving seamless integration and performance across Amazon Web Services (AWS), Microsoft Azure, and OCI. He also strengthened enterprise networks while improving system resiliency and cost efficiency across IT operations.
Before Jaquar, Omnkar was Information Technology Infrastructure Manager at Thermax Limited, where he managed network and network security operations and led a 21-member team responsible for end-to-end IT infrastructure deployments and ongoing operations. His responsibilities included driving service reliability, operational governance, and infrastructure scalability in a complex industrial environment.
Earlier in his career, he held the role of Manager – Data Center, Network and Voice India Operations and Implementations at Allstate India. During this period, he successfully led the IT implementation for a 2,500-seater greenfield facility, ensuring operational readiness through robust redundancy planning and seamless technology deployment.
Omnkar’s appointment reflects Bajaj Indef’s focus on strengthening its digital foundation and leveraging technology as a strategic enabler for long-term growth and innovation.
