Sumit Rajput has been appointed as Associate Director at Deloitte, where he will take on a critical leadership role in advancing the firm’s cybersecurity priorities. In his new capacity, he will spearhead strategic cybersecurity initiatives, reinforce enterprise-wide security architectures, and drive comprehensive risk, governance, and compliance programs aimed at strengthening organizational resilience and fostering greater digital trust.
Before joining Deloitte, Sumit Rajput served as Senior Lead – Information Security at Lentra. In that role, he was responsible for leading Information Security and Security Operations Center (SOC) functions, with a strong emphasis on proactive threat detection, continuous monitoring, and optimization of security controls to safeguard critical systems and data environments.
Earlier, he worked as AVP – IT Security at MAS Financial Services Limited, where he oversaw IT infrastructure security and implemented cybersecurity strategies aligned with CISO directives. His mandate included strengthening governance structures, enhancing security policies, and ensuring enterprise-wide adherence to robust risk management standards.
Over the course of his career, Sumit Rajput has also contributed to organizations such as Novo, OPLinnovate, and Electromech Cloudtech Pvt. Ltd.. Across these roles, he developed deep expertise in information security management, network security architecture, ISO 27001 implementation, and frameworks aligned with the National Institute of Standards and Technology (NIST).
With a strong foundation in enterprise security operations and regulatory compliance, his appointment at Deloitte reflects a continued focus on strengthening cybersecurity capabilities in an increasingly complex digital risk landscape.
