
Adani Healthcare has appointed Himanshu Bhardwaj as its Chief Information Officer (CIO). With more than 28 years of experience in information technology and healthcare, Bhardwaj brings extensive expertise in leading digital transformation initiatives across multiple sectors including healthcare, manufacturing, engineering and banking.
Before joining Adani Healthcare, Bhardwaj served as Head of HIS & IT Applications at Medanta Hospitals. During his tenure, he played a key role in supporting the organisation’s expansion from a single flagship hospital into a broader healthcare network that includes six multi-specialty hospitals along with a growing ecosystem of clinics, pharmacies and diagnostic laboratories. His work focused on strengthening collaboration between clinical and IT teams to develop technology-driven solutions aimed at improving patient care, operational efficiency and data management.
Over the course of his career, Bhardwaj has also held senior roles at several technology companies including Polaris, Virtusa and Intellect. In these roles, he worked across product and programme management, business analysis and database administration, while leading large and geographically distributed teams.
His professional experience includes managing complex, high-transaction technology programmes and overseeing large-scale transformation projects designed to deliver measurable business outcomes. Bhardwaj has also been recognised with multiple excellence awards during his career and has experience managing multi-million-dollar transformation programmes, including budgeting, planning and execution.
