Wipro has appointed Rajesh Kumar R as Global Chief Information Officer (Designate), bringing extensive leadership experience across enterprise technology, artificial intelligence, intelligent automation, and digital transformation.
In his new position, Rajesh will engage with business and technology stakeholders to understand Wipro’s existing technology ecosystem and contribute to shaping its strategic direction across enterprise IT, AI adoption, and digital innovation.
Prior to joining Wipro, he served as Executive Vice President and Chief Information Officer at LTM, where he led enterprise technology modernisation, accelerated AI adoption, and advanced organisation-wide digital transformation. He also played a significant role in aligning the technology environments of LTI and Mindtree following their merger and driving global digital workplace initiatives.
Earlier in his career, Rajesh held leadership positions at Mindtree, including Vice President – Products Engineering Group and Vice President – Automation and Vertical Delivery. His professional experience also includes technology and enterprise architecture roles at Sutherland Global Services and Happiest Minds Technologies.
With expertise spanning enterprise architecture, product engineering, intelligent automation, and AI-led transformation, Rajesh brings a broad perspective on leveraging technology to strengthen organisational capabilities and business performance.
His appointment comes amid the growing importance of enterprise technology leadership in enabling scalable digital transformation, accelerating AI integration, and translating technology investments into measurable business value.
