Gaurang Sharma has been appointed as Director – Cyber Defense and Resilience at Deloitte, bringing over two decades of experience in cybersecurity, information security architecture and enterprise technology consulting.
In his new role, Sharma will focus on strengthening cyber defense strategies and resilience frameworks, helping organisations enhance their security posture and respond to an increasingly complex digital threat landscape.
Prior to joining Deloitte, he built a diverse career across several global technology and consulting organisations, including Hewlett Packard Enterprise, Dimension Data, Radware, Wipro, IBM, LTIMindtree and Tata Consultancy Services.
During his tenure at LTIMindtree, Sharma played a key role in shaping enterprise security foundations, including designing security architectures across multi-cloud and hybrid environments such as Azure, AWS and Oracle. He also led governance initiatives aligned with global standards including NIST CSF, SOC2, GDPR and PCI DSS, and contributed to AI governance through model assessments and responsible AI frameworks.
At Deloitte, he is expected to drive next-generation cyber defense initiatives, including attack surface management, SIEM and SOAR transformation, and strengthening security operations centre (SOC) capabilities, alongside advancing resilience in the era of generative AI.
With deep expertise in cybersecurity strategy, enterprise security solutions and technology-driven risk management, Sharma is set to play a key role in enhancing Deloitte’s cyber defense capabilities and supporting clients in navigating evolving security challenges.
