
Rishi Rane has been elevated to Chief Technology Officer (CTO) for Cardiovascular & Interventional Solutions (CVIS) at GE HealthCare, effective March 2026. Based in the United States, he will lead global technology, innovation, and engineering strategy for the CVIS business unit, focusing on product innovation, AI-enabled R&D, regulatory compliance, and scaling engineering teams to meet evolving clinical and market demands.
Rishi Rane brings over 28 years of experience in healthcare technology and engineering, with more than 23 years at GE HealthCare. His career spans leadership across diverse modalities, including Anesthesia & Respiratory Care, Imaging Systems (MR, CT, X-ray), and Patient Monitoring. He has a proven track record in new product introduction (NPI), platform modernization, software engineering, and regulatory audits, driving both quality and cost competitiveness across GE HealthCare’s global portfolios.
Prior to his current appointment, Rane served as CTO for Anesthesia & Respiratory Care at GE HealthCare, overseeing large distributed engineering teams across the US, Europe, and Asia, and leading platform strategy, product development, and global R&D execution. He also held roles including VP, Software, Imaging Systems, and VP, Software, MRI, where he led software engineering, platform modernization, and full-lifecycle development for imaging portfolios, including FDA-cleared innovations such as AIR Recon DL for SIGNA 7.0T.
In his new role, Rane will spearhead technology and engineering initiatives that align with the strategic vision of GE HealthCare’s CVIS division, driving transformative solutions in cardiovascular care and interventional technologies.
