Aniruddha Menon has been appointed as Assistant Vice President at SMBC Group. In this role, he will support the firm’s investment and financing initiatives, with a particular focus on the real estate sector, including deal structuring, fundraising, and transaction advisory.
Aniruddha brings strong expertise in real estate financing and investment advisory, with a proven track record in executing high-value transactions and supporting complex deal mandates.
Prior to joining SMBC, he served as Senior Associate – Investments at HDFC Capital Advisors Limited, where he was involved in investment management and strategic capital deployment across real estate portfolios.
Earlier, he spent over six years at Ernst & Young, working across multiple roles in transaction advisory. During his tenure, he advised on joint ventures, fundraising, and buy- and sell-side transactions within the real estate sector, building deep domain expertise.
He also gained early experience at Goldman Sachs, where he developed a strong foundation in financial analysis, risk management, and global operations.
With a well-rounded background across investment banking, advisory, and real estate financing, Aniruddha Menon brings a strategic and execution-focused approach to his new role, contributing to SMBC’s efforts in driving value across its investment portfolio.
