Narwhal Labs Raises £20M to Scale Autonomous AI Platform

Narwhal Labs has raised £20 million in a funding round backed by over 70 UK investors, as it looks to accelerate the global rollout of its autonomous AI platform.

The funding coincides with the launch of its flagship system, DeepBlue OS—an agentic AI operating layer designed to manage end-to-end customer interactions across multiple communication channels without human intervention.

Founded by Luke Sartain, Narwhal Labs is building enterprise-grade communication infrastructure powered by autonomous AI agents. The platform integrates voice, SMS, email, and WhatsApp into a unified workflow, enabling businesses to respond instantly and consistently across all touchpoints.

DeepBlue OS operates through a multi-agent architecture. An inbound agent handles calls, leads, and scheduling around the clock, while a response agent engages with new inquiries or document requests within minutes. A third outbound agent manages follow-ups at scale, ensuring no opportunity is missed.

The system is designed as a continuous operational layer—understanding queries, determining next actions, and executing responses in real time. This eliminates delays typically caused by fragmented communication systems and enables businesses to maintain seamless engagement regardless of volume or timing.

Narwhal Labs has built the platform with compliance at its core, aligning with ISO 27001 and SOC 2 standards, while also meeting regulatory requirements such as GDPR, TCPA, and OFCOM. It supports more than 50 languages, allowing rapid deployment across global markets without additional customization.

The company operates on a usage-based pricing model with no upfront costs or long-term contracts, making advanced AI capabilities accessible to mid-sized businesses that are often underserved by enterprise software providers.

Unlike traditional tools that aim to augment human teams, Narwhal Labs is focused on full automation—addressing gaps such as missed calls, delayed responses, and inconsistent follow-ups. With the fresh capital, the company plans to enhance product capabilities, expand operations, and deepen its reach in the mid-market segment.

With growing demand for real-time, AI-driven customer engagement, Narwhal Labs is positioning itself as a scalable, automation-first alternative in the evolving enterprise communications landscape.
