Naver has entered into a strategic partnership with Tata Consultancy Services to jointly develop artificial intelligence and cloud services in India, marking a key collaboration announced during a Korea-India summit engagement.
The agreement was formalized through a memorandum of understanding signed in New Delhi during the Korea-India Business Forum. The signing was led by Choi Soo-yeon and Ujwal Mathur, in the presence of Kim Jeong-kwan and Piyush Goyal.
The partnership is aimed at strengthening Naver’s footprint in India’s technology ecosystem while leveraging TCS’s scale and domain expertise. As part of the collaboration, both companies will combine Naver’s capabilities in artificial intelligence and cloud technologies with TCS’s industry-specific infrastructure and data assets.
Tata Consultancy Services, a part of the Tata Group, is India’s largest IT services provider with annual revenue of $30 billion and a presence across more than 100 countries, serving sectors such as banking, manufacturing, healthcare, and telecommunications.
Through this alliance, the two organizations plan to develop localized digital transformation solutions tailored to the Indian market, focusing on creating new business opportunities across industries.
Commenting on the partnership, Choi said, “We will create new business opportunities in the local market through technological cooperation.”
The collaboration comes at a time when India is accelerating its ambitions to emerge as a global hub for artificial intelligence, with increasing focus on building advanced digital infrastructure and innovation ecosystems.
