Radhesh Tornekar Appointed National Lead – Information Security at Bajaj Finserv

Pune, India— Radhesh Tornekar has been appointed as National Lead – Information Security at Bajaj Finserv, marking a new leadership role in his 17-year career in cybersecurity, governance, and enterprise risk management.

In his new role at Bajaj Finserv, Tornekar will be responsible for leading information security strategy, cyber risk governance, vulnerability management, and regulatory compliance initiatives across the organization. His mandate includes strengthening security posture, enhancing audit readiness, and driving enterprise-wide risk reduction programs.

Radhesh Tornekar brings over 17 years of experience in cybersecurity strategy, application security leadership, threat simulation, and vulnerability management, with a strong focus on regulatory compliance and enterprise risk reduction.

Prior to joining Bajaj Finserv, he served as Senior Vice President at TalaKunchi Networks Pvt Ltd (April 2024 – May 2026), where he led enterprise cybersecurity programs including threat management, red teaming, application security, and compliance for regulated clients. He also worked extensively on security governance, executive advisory, and risk-based vulnerability management.

From October 2021 to April 2024, he worked as Vice President – Information Security at RBL Bank, where he managed enterprise vulnerability programs, regulatory compliance, audit closures, and board-level cyber risk reporting. He also collaborated with internal risk and audit teams to integrate cybersecurity into enterprise risk management frameworks.

Earlier, at Atos (February 2021 – October 2021), he served as Senior Manager – COE Operations (Vulnerability Management), overseeing application security testing, network security assessments, code reviews, and configuration audits, while managing delivery operations and security improvement initiatives.

He also held multiple leadership roles at Paladion between 2016 and 2021, including positions in managed detection and response (MDR), vulnerability management, and global delivery operations across banking, insurance, and e-commerce domains.

Throughout his career, Tornekar has focused on security governance, executive stakeholder engagement, risk mitigation strategies, and strengthening enterprise cybersecurity frameworks in regulated industries such as banking and financial services.

His appointment at Bajaj Finserv reflects the organization’s continued emphasis on strengthening information security leadership and enhancing cyber risk resilience across its financial services ecosystem.
