Saibal Roy has been appointed as Chief Operating Officer (COO) at Ishan Technologies, strengthening the company’s leadership team as it expands its digital infrastructure and enterprise technology business across India.
Roy brings nearly three decades of leadership experience spanning enterprise technology, telecommunications, government business, wholesale telecom, customer services, and business development. In his new role, he will focus on driving operational excellence, business growth, customer delivery enhancement, and strategic expansion initiatives to support Ishan Technologies’ next phase of growth.
His appointment comes as enterprises across India accelerate investments in cloud infrastructure, AI-ready networks, cybersecurity, connectivity, and digital transformation technologies.
Prior to joining Ishan Technologies, Roy served as India Vertical Head – Manufacturing, Retail and Distribution (MRD) at ServiceNow.
Earlier, he held senior leadership positions at Airtel Business, including Senior Vice President and National Head – Government and ISP Business, where he led government, PSU, and internet service provider business operations across India.
During his tenure with Airtel, Roy also served as Senior Vice President and Business Head for North and East India while leading the Wholesale Business for Airtel Global Business.
His extensive career includes leadership roles at Tulip Telecom, Tata Communications, Videsh Sanchar Nigam Limited, Bharti Airtel, HFCL, and Network Limited.
Throughout his career, Roy has led enterprise business operations, international business, wholesale telecom, customer services, market development, and strategic growth initiatives while helping organizations strengthen their enterprise technology and digital infrastructure capabilities.
