Google has announced a major upgrade to its Google Finance platform, introducing AI-powered portfolio management tools, personalised market intelligence features, and a dedicated Android application as the company expands its consumer financial services ecosystem.
The updated Google Finance experience is rolling out globally and includes redesigned portfolio tracking, AI-generated investment insights, customised financial briefings, and enhanced investment management capabilities.
Alongside the upgraded web platform, Google has also launched a dedicated Google Finance app for Android devices, while confirming that an iOS version is planned for release later this year.
One of the platform’s key additions is a redesigned portfolio tracker that consolidates investments into a unified dashboard, enabling users to monitor portfolio performance, asset allocation, investment distribution, and market trends from a single interface.
Google said existing Google Finance portfolios will be migrated automatically, while new portfolios can be created using multiple input methods including CSV and PDF uploads, screenshots of investment holdings, or natural language prompts describing investments.
The company is also integrating AI-powered research and analytics capabilities aimed at helping users better understand investment performance, market developments, and portfolio exposure.
The launch reflects growing competition among technology companies, fintech platforms, and financial data providers as AI-driven financial intelligence, personalised investing tools, and automated market insights become increasingly popular among retail investors and digital-first consumers.
