India — Airtel Digital has appointed Rajagopal Venugopal as Head – Cloud Commercials, strengthening its leadership as the company expands its cloud, artificial intelligence (AI), and digital transformation capabilities across enterprise and telecom services.
In his new role, Venugopal will lead cloud commercial strategy, solution architecture, business development, and customer engagement, helping enterprises accelerate cloud adoption, infrastructure modernization, AI integration, and large-scale digital transformation initiatives. He will play a key role in developing commercial cloud offerings and driving strategic growth across Airtel Digital’s cloud business.
Venugopal brings more than 20 years of experience in cloud transformation, enterprise architecture, AI-driven solutions, infrastructure modernization, and technology consulting. Throughout his career, he has led complex cloud migration, modernization, and digital transformation programmes for global enterprises across multiple industries.
Prior to joining Airtel Digital, he held multiple leadership positions at Accenture India, most recently serving as Managing Director – Industrial AI Delivery and Managing Director – Cloud Migration & Modernization Solution Architecture Lead. During his tenure, he led enterprise cloud transformation programmes, AI-led modernization initiatives, and solution architecture engagements, helping organizations migrate mission-critical workloads to cloud-native environments and adopt next-generation technologies.
Earlier, Venugopal held key technology leadership roles at Huawei Technologies India, Accenture, Mphasis, Infosys, Cognizant, Tata Consultancy Services (TCS), and HCL Infosystems Ltd. Across these organizations, he built deep expertise in enterprise architecture, cloud strategy, infrastructure modernization, hybrid cloud, AI-enabled transformation, technology consulting, and large-scale global delivery.
His appointment reflects Airtel Digital’s continued investment in strengthening its cloud and AI leadership as enterprises increasingly adopt cloud-native platforms, intelligent automation, generative AI, and modern digital infrastructure to improve operational efficiency, customer experience, and business agility.
