
India — Tech Mahindra has elevated Puru Chipalkatti to Senior Vice President & Business Group Head, expanding his leadership responsibilities as the company continues to strengthen its global technology, AI, and digital transformation capabilities.
In his expanded role, Chipalkatti will lead strategic business growth, global client engagement, AI-led transformation initiatives, technology delivery, and business expansion across key enterprise accounts. He will also focus on strengthening customer relationships, driving innovation, and accelerating digital transformation programmes for global clients.
With more than 26 years of experience, Chipalkatti brings extensive expertise in business leadership, AI-led transformation, enterprise technology, global client management, technology consulting, delivery management, and strategic partnerships. Throughout his career, he has successfully led large-scale digital transformation programmes, managed global customer portfolios, and built high-performing teams across multiple industry verticals.
Chipalkatti has spent the majority of his professional career at Tech Mahindra, steadily progressing through a series of leadership positions. Prior to his promotion, he served as Global Client Partner & Business Unit Head, where he led strategic customer engagements and business growth initiatives. Earlier, he held the roles of Vice President & Business Unit Head, Senior Client Partner, and Client Partner, contributing significantly to global account management, enterprise technology services, and customer success. Earlier in his tenure, he also served as Information Technology Delivery Manager, Business Analyst / Project Management, and Business Analyst / Tech Lead, building deep expertise in technology delivery, consulting, and business transformation.
Before joining Tech Mahindra, Chipalkatti worked as a Product Engineer at SoftLink International and began his professional career as a Software Engineer at Global Infotek Systems, laying a strong foundation in software development and enterprise technology.
