
Mumbai, Maharashtra, India, Pidilite Industries Limited has elevated Suresh Kumar C as Chief Human Resource Officer (CHRO) and designated him as Senior Management Personnel, effective July 21, 2026. The appointment was approved by the company’s Nomination and Remuneration Committee at its meeting held on the same day.
Suresh Kumar succeeds Ashish Prasad, who has been moved internally to the position of Chief Business Officer – Strategic Initiatives. Prasad will continue to be classified as Senior Management Personnel, ensuring continuity within Pidilite’s executive leadership team.
The appointment marks another milestone in Suresh Kumar’s association of more than 33 years with Pidilite. Immediately before assuming sole responsibility as CHRO, he served as Co-Chief Human Resource Officer. His extensive experience within the organisation covers human resources, organisational development and strategic initiatives, providing him with a detailed understanding of Pidilite’s businesses, culture and workforce requirements.
During his long tenure, Suresh Kumar has held several leadership responsibilities, including President – Pidilite Management Group, Senior Vice President – Organisation Development, Vice President – Organisation Development, Chief – Human Resources and Chief – Strategic Initiatives. Across these positions, he has contributed to the company’s people practices, organisational capability, talent management, employee engagement and transformation programmes.
As CHRO, Suresh Kumar will lead Pidilite’s human resources function and support the development of its people and organisational agenda. His responsibilities will include talent and leadership development, succession planning, workforce capability, employee experience, organisational effectiveness and HR policies supporting the company’s long-term business priorities. His elevation represents an internal succession decision centred on leadership continuity and institutional knowledge.
The management restructuring also aligns Pidilite’s HR and strategic initiatives functions with experienced internal leaders. While Suresh Kumar assumes responsibility for the company’s overall people agenda, Prasad will focus on business-level strategic initiatives in his new leadership position.
