New Delhi: BUSY, India’s leading accounting and GST compliance software provider for MSMEs, today announced the appointment of Gyanendra Acharya as Vice President, People and Culture. In this role, he will lead the company’s HR strategy, with a mandate to build people systems that can scale alongside the business as BUSY enters its next phase of growth.
He will be responsible for building scalable people systems, strengthening leadership bandwidth across business functions, and moving HR operations to a data-first model built on clear performance metrics. His mandate also covers aligning internal teams and workflows with the demands of an AI-first SaaS organisation, and building playbook-driven HR processes to support the company’s plans for growth.
With India’s formal MSME base expanding past 1.65 crore GST registered businesses, the accounting and compliance space remains significantly underpenetrated. Beyond organic expansion, the company’s growth roadmap includes potential acquisitions, and the mandate for VP – People & Culture will extend to leading the people side, cultural alignment and integration as BUSY brings new teams on board.
Following the launch of BUSY Magic, the company’s next-gen accounting software for growing businesses with capabilities such as AI-powered voucher scan, AI bank reconciliation and GST Assistant, BUSY is strengthening its talent capabilities to power its AI-first SaaS roadmap.

Gyanendra brings more than 25 years of experience in HR strategy, organisational development and talent transformation. He joins BUSY from VeggieKart Marketing Pvt. Ltd., where as the Co-Founder, he helped the company scale to ₹40 crore in revenue, delivering 25 percent year-on-year growth over four consecutive years while transitioning it to lean, ERP-led processes.
He was earlier Co-Founder at Ekistics Solutions, and has held HR leadership roles at Gram Vikas, Hughes Systique Corporation, RBS India Development Centre, Convergys India, TechBooks.
Over his career, Gyanendra has led enterprise-wide HR digitisation programmes, built data-backed HR scorecards linking people metrics to business outcomes, and steered organisations through founder-to-next-generation leadership transitions, including workforce planning for a ₹2,000 crore World Bank and OSDMA social housing initiative at Gram Vikas. He has also led post-acquisition culture and talent integration efforts and scaled headcount rapidly across high-growth phases at organisations including Hughes Systique and Convergys.
