Nischal Patel has stepped into the role of Head of Data, Enterprise Data Organization at S&P Global, where he will focus on strengthening the company’s data foundations and scaling capabilities supporting growth, artificial intelligence and customer value.
Patel shared the development on LinkedIn, marking a new phase in his career at S&P Global. He joined the company on September 23, 2010, and has since worked across Product Operations, Global Business Operations, Site Operations, Data Operations and enterprise transformation initiatives.
Over the course of his tenure, Patel has been involved in initiatives covering enterprise workflow modernization, AI adoption, data governance and data quality, as well as major business integrations. His experience has primarily centred on data operations, product operations and transformation within the financial information and data business.
Before joining S&P Global, Patel worked at CRISIL and Thomson Reuters, building experience across data and financial information operations. Industry profiles also identify him with S&P Global’s Enterprise Data Organization, where he has held senior data operations responsibilities. The Securities Industry and Financial Markets Association’s SIIA/FISD profile identifies him as Head of Data Operations at the Enterprise Data Organization and notes his experience of more than two decades in the financial services industry.
In his new position, Patel will be responsible for data capabilities within S&P Global’s Enterprise Data Organization. His mandate comes as the company continues to develop data infrastructure and capabilities for AI-enabled applications and services.
Patel said his earlier roles across product, data and transformation helped him understand the importance of combining operational excellence, innovation and people to support transformation at scale. He also highlighted the work undertaken to strengthen data governance and quality and advance AI adoption across the organization.
The Enterprise Data Organization is a company-wide function focused on bringing together S&P Global’s data assets and capabilities. The organization has been working on areas including data quality, data governance, data integration and AI-ready data to support the company’s products and customers.
With his move into the Head of Data role, Patel will continue his long association with S&P Global while taking on broader responsibility for the organization’s data capabilities and transformation agenda.
